What is weekly holiday pay (주휴수당)?
If you work 15 hours or more per week and complete your scheduled days, you are paid for one extra day (a paid weekly holiday). For a 5-day week that adds roughly 20% to your pay.
Does the minimum wage apply to daily or monthly pay?
Yes. Daily and monthly pay must still equal at least the minimum hourly wage for the hours worked. Albadari checks daily pay at 8 hours a day and monthly pay at the 209-hour statutory month.
